When should i start training my dog?

In the first weeks after its birth, the mother will take care of teaching our puppy the basic rules. Then, as he becomes more independent, spending time with his siblings will set some additional rules. At the age of 8-9 weeks he will be ready to move to his new family.
For those who have never had a dog, puppy pre-training course will give them the information they need to smoothly integrate the new member into their family. It will set the limits early and will minimize the chances of developing problematic behaviors. Puppy pre-training is preferable to start between 9 and 16 weeks and can be continued until the age of 6 months.
Once they are done teething (6th month) they can start the basic obedience course. It is best for our dog to start his training before adulthood. In small dogs this happens at the end of the first year while in large dogs it can happen even at the end of the second year. Note that a dog that has completed the pre-training course is much more prepared, cooperative and will definitely need less time for the coming lessons. On the other hand, there is no age limit on learning and the saying that you can not teach new tricks to an old dog is simply not true.
If until the first two years we have completed the training of basic obedience then we have all the resources to proceed to more difficult and demanding training courses. The advanced obedience training course offers more trust and confidence in our dogs' behavior and skills.
The training course for bodyguard and protection duties takes place only after the successful completion of the previous cycles and after the re-evaluation of the dog and the handler.
